Fifth Series – The Way of Thinking
Giving considerations to the Way of Thinking during tarbiyah (development process), is amongst the issues of greatest importance in that development process, as it sets out an effective process that one should depend on especially when the development process is one of building the Islamic personality; starting out from school, going all the way through the thought development process for all of society, and reaching an end on the last day of a Muslim person’s life. And so the Islamic Way of Thinking means that a Muslim builds all his thoughts, thereby all his words and actions on the Islamic thought that is based on what Allah swt and his Messenger pbuh have commanded. As a result his opinions become in agreement with the opinions of Islam, and therefore his doings become in accordance with Islam, in particular those that relate to his relation with his god, his relation with other human beings and his relation with himself. Furthermore his opinions and doings would therefore not agree with any other thoughts not coming from Allah, such as secular thoughts, democratic thoughts or communist thoughts or their doings; nor would agree with any Kufr thoughts inviting to patriotism or nationalism, or agreeing with any thoughts that call for preceding ones interests over Allah’s commands and prohibitions; and not agreeing with any thoughts of surrendering to the current reality of violated Islamic-rules and building ones opinions, thoughts and doings on the basis of that surrender.
In reality you don’t find teachers, university professors nor their ruling masters nor even the scholars of rulers, you don’t find them building their thoughts, words, and doings on the basis of Islamic thought, despite their wide knowledge of Islam, let alone their teachings to children, adults and rest of society are all in accordance with the non-Islamic Way of Thinking, and the adoption of the non-Islamic Way of Thinking for use in the life of the individual Muslim.
We are not implying that all of them use the non-Islamic Way of Thinking intentionally, but its them having been built and brought up in this manner ever since their nursing days, which led to the running of it in their veins, and as a result no knowledge, fiqh or any Islamic literature can affect them after that anymore.
So if for example you were to ask one of them what he sees to be the solution to the Palestine problem? He would tell you that if all Arabs got together and reached unity in their words they would have been able to put pressure on Israel; or another would answer saying: why do we worry, its not our issue, may Allah be with them; or another would say: May Allah bring victory to the Palestinians so they can liberate their country from Israel and become autonomous and so the problem ends. All of these are answers that are based on the non-Islamic Way of Thinking. The Islamic Way of Thinking however says that, we are required to establish an Islamic nation, call for Jihad, and liberate all Islamic countries from the colonizing Kafir enemy, amongst which would be Jerusalem. Such an Islamic Way of Thinking is not used at all, and is not the prevailing Islamic Way of Thinking in schools and universities, nor that amongst today’s corrupt scholars, professors, nor ulama’ altarbiya nor in all of society.
And if you looked at one of them during their dealings with other Muslims, you would find him dealing proudly, from the point of nationality he is carrying, and which was something decided at the outset by the United Nations board (Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Iraqi, Syrian, Egyptian, Tunisian, Eritrean, Ethiopian, Somali and so on). As for the Islamic Way of Thinking, which does not recognize such thought process nor recognize such national affiliations i.e. nationalities and prohibits dealing on that basis, is now almost forgotten, and has become reprehensible for whoever speaks of it or deals on the basis of it.
And if you were to reprimand one of those engaged in some of the great wrongdoings, or engaged in one of those polytheist works as we had described previously, they would have answered you saying that they have not found any other job or work to make a living from; thereby relying on a Way of Thinking that surrenders to current realities, and adopting that as his work scale and the foundations upon which to build his Way of Thinking; and thus not making the Islamic Way of Thinking the foundations upon which to build his thoughts and doings.
And you find the corrupt scholars when asked about the matters of the Ummah, or the political thinkers, or others amongst the intellectuals; you find their opinions all expressed according to a non-Islamic Way of Thinking, and based from the outset on acknowledging current political situations, and the dividing of Muslim countries, and the acknowledging of that division, and the acknowledging of the numerous rulers (as they refer to them “Guardians”), and acknowledging that every country needs to protect its borders and interests from its neighboring Muslim countries. The Islamic Way of Thinking however says that Muslims should collectively be having one sovereignty over all their countries, and their army should be one, and their resources need be of benefit to all of them, and their power to be one, and that the current division of Islamic countries into several countries is Kufr and a violation to Allah’s commands, and a surrender to the colonizing enemy; and that their ruler should be one, and their ruling system (Shar’) one, and their references one, and that the objection to their division and their affiliation to different nationalities and differing races is something that should be of a warning and needs to be rejected entirely.. this Way of Thinking you do not find grounds for in the minds of today’s corrupt scholars nor a reality for within their inner self.
It is impossible to use the Islamic Way of Thinking when its not associated with the rest of the Islamic thoughts, and furthermore impossible to be applied when not supported by a force such as that of a Sultan for adopting it as the work scale for all remedial actions, and in the management of the Muslims’ interests, and in the development and education, and in the accountability of rulers, and in making Islam prevail in the lives of all people, in economics, in the judiciary, in politics, in management and others.
Allah swt said in the meaning of surrat Al Ahzab verse 36
It is not fitting for a Believer (Mu’men), man or woman, when a matter has been decided by God and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys God and His Apostle, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.
Allah swt said in the meaning of surrat Al Nisa verse 65
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.
And our beloved messenger of Allah, pbuh, said:
"None of you [truely] believes until his inclination is accordance with what I have brought”
