"There is no ilâh but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah"
Is what we were taught in schools and the elm(knowledge) that we received in schools including all the knowledge and ideas that have been passed on to this current generation the real Islam that was descended upon our Messenger Muhammed pbuh?
Many people assume that the subjects we were taught in school and the ideas that are exchanged between Muslims today, and the knowledge that we receive from today’s corrupt Muslim scholars, and the reality we live today; that all of this reflects the Islam that was descended upon our Messenger Muhammed pbuh. Whereas fact of the matter is that reality is very different, and that what we are taught and what our children are being taught in schools and universities and elsewhere including what Muslims are receiving and seeing today reflects something merely similar to Islam, more correctly, something rather contradicting with Islam. What we are seeing today does not relate to Islam neither in origin nor in branches, nor in the reality of its commands or prohibitions or in the method of living by it. So how is this possible and how did that happen?
The Islamic subjects of Fiqh, Hadith, Tawheed, and Quran taught in schools have merely been literature, that any Muslim or even Kafir (disbeliever) can learn or memorize, without impacting or changing anything in them. At the origin of teaching and learning Islam come a number of highly important and critical issues and considerations, and it is those that craft and build the Islamic personality with the real Islam that was descended upon our Messenger Muhammed pbuh.
At the origin and outset of embracing Islam and learning it comes the learning of the two Shahadas, i.e. the Muslim declaration of belief in the Uluhiyyah (Worship & Followership) of Allahuta'âlâ and that of the acceptance of Muhammad as his Messenger; by that we don’t mean reciting or memorizing it per say, but rather learning it, studying it, understanding it, and then embracing it, and finally working towards achieving what they call for in real life. This does not happen unless the person has been convinced in their own mind about the existence of Allah swt, and follows that with the firm belief in what the two Shahadas call for, which is that the worship, i.e. the follower ship and governorship, meaning the commands and prohibitions are taken from Allah swt only, and not from any king, ruler, president or parliament. Naturally such a thought explained and translated in this correct manner does not appeal to any king, ruler or to America or Europe, since it is this thought that reflects the true thought behind the two Shahadas, and therefore it is not being taught in schools, rather preserved abstract and unrelated to any real meaning or understanding. Because if the two Shahadas were to be taught as per the correct method, and with all that what the submission to them calls for from embracing and doing, it would have turned people to disbelief in the ruler and the system he applied on them, and would therefore have called them to go against him for he has violated what the two shahadas call for from commands, responsibilities, orders, prohibitions, rulings and systems.
And it is exactly from here where the distortion in the build up and crafting of the personality starts, so instead of it becoming an Islamic personality, it becomes merely a Muslim personality by identity; leaving people “without even knowing” believing in something different from what they have declared the uluhiyyah of and their belief toward, in this case Allah swt; and believe through their actions in something different from the message that was descended upon our Messenger Muhammed pbuh. For al-ilah, as mentioned previously is the solely worshiped, the obeyed, the followed without including (Shirk) any other ruler with him, and the eman (belief) in the message of our Messenger Muhammed pbuh does not happen unless it is realistically applied, i.e. practiced in real life, and if its not, then people have not declared the uluhiyyah of Allahuta'âlâ and the acceptance of Muhammad as his Messenger.
Allah swt said in the meaning of surrat Al An’am verse 19
Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "Allah is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another ilah?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one ilah, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."
